In general, massage is considered safe for the vast majority of people, however, there are some medical conditions that require a doctors approval. You will be asked to fill out a health intake questionnaire prior to your first visit. It is important that you inform your therapist of any and all medical conditions.
It is our belief that the benefits of massage are cumulative. However, the frequency of massage is directly impacted by your personal health goals and your reasons for seeking massage. We would be happy to discuss your personal situation and goals to set a frequency that is right for you.
The areas in which we work will depend on your reason for coming, if you have a specific injury or area of concern we can spend 30, 60, or 90 minutes focusing on that. If you are looking for overall relaxation and muscle tension relief a 60 or 90-minute full body massage would be recommended. During a full body session your therapist will work your feet, legs, hips, back, arms, neck, head, and face.
Generally speaking, no your massage should not hurt! If you feel pain during your session inform your therapist right away and the pressure will be adjusted. During a Trigger Point session, there may be areas of tenderness but there should not be pain.
Feel free to wear what you want. You will be asked to disrobe to your comfort level, some clients undress to their underwear others take everything off. You will be draped appropriately during your entire session.
Yes. You will be covered with a clean sheet and blanket. Your therapist will uncover only the area currently being worked.
You may engage in as much or as little conversation as you want during your session. The time is yours! However, it is important that you communicate with your therapist if you are uncomfortable in any way. This includes pressure, temperature, music, and table comfort.

We will occasionally volunteer on-site chair massage in our communities. We do not travel into people’s homes.
