You’ve Never Had a Massage….So Why Start Now?
Wait, you’ve never had a massage!?!
Don’t worry you are not alone. While my daughter who has grown up with massage, would be shocked to hear it, many people have not experienced massage from a licensed professional. I could list the numerous benefits of massage such as decreased levels of stress, reduced muscle tension, mood elevation, and reduction in headache intensity or frequency, but that is info you can get from a quick google search. I thought you may be more interested in learning why our clients receive massage. So I reached out, and here are a few of the responses I have gotten. Keep in mind these statements are based soley on the personal opinion, experience, and knowledge of each individual.
Massage is important to me because it alleviates symptoms of fibromyalgia and because it helps with stress management. – Kim M.
I get regular massages to ease tension in my muscles and to relax. I always feel better after a massage. – Dicta S.
I work hard, play hard, and give myself permission to have – ME time. My job puts stress on my arms, shoulders and neck. The relief I feel after a massage is unbelievable. The stress and aches just melt away giving my body a new energy. I was always a fan of an hour Swedish body massage with hot stones added, it is heavenly. Recently I have changed to Ashiatsu (barefoot) massage, I schedule an hour to an hour and one half for each session. I can’t explain the feeling of peacefulness and relaxation that comes with this experience. When Carrie or Allie leave the room at the end of the session and say to relax, if I don’t get up right away they would have to come back and wake me up as my body seems to melt into the table. **Try Healing Hands** they give me a massage that gives me peace, relaxation and a new energy without stress and aches. It’s an AWESOME experience. – Cathy N.
I get massage for health benefits, both physical and mental. I have been a manicurist for 25 years and have developed issues with my hands. Massage has greatly improved their flexibility. I am always amazed how relaxed my shoulders feel afterwards. Being in a service profession massage is my way of releasing stress and pampering myself. – Sheri B.
The reason I get messages monthly, is because I have a desk job so I sit a lot. Sitting most of the day on the computer leaves my muscles tight. The massage helps to loosen me up. Especially in the back and neck area. I also experience frequent pain in my legs. The leg massage really helps my muscles relax. I would recommend massage therapy to everyone.
